Handgun demand will keep increasing day by day. While the steady incline of the users is rising little by little, the market is demanding more and more good guns. Canik got the budget handgun market with a tight grip!

Their Rival series is filled with well-made products. While not all of them are produced in the USA, their testing and quality assurance is done in the States. Anyway, you are not here to learn more about the gun.

You are here to find out the best optic for Canik Rival. It’s a great gun and it deserves nothing less than a great optic! So, let’s find out, shall we?

How To Choose The Best Sight For Canik Rival?

Now that you know what are some of the best red dot sights for Canik, how do you go ahead and choose one for your SFX Rival? That’s a very good question! A question that I have some answers to.

Durability

While Canik Rival is not known to have monstrous recoil, it’s still not a toy gun. The recoil can and will hit you quite hard. So, if the optic is not durable enough, then you shouldn’t consider that as an option.

Lens Quality

I probably sound like a broken record to you guys by now, after all, I always preach how important the lens quality of the scope is! In terms of red dot, it’s no different at all. You will need to use an optic that happens to have the most clear vision possible. Red dots tend to have night vision compatibility as well. For that to work well, the lens needs to be crystal clear.

Reticle Brightness

Compared to scopes, red dots tend to have more smearing and glowing defects. Make sure that the choice of optic here doesn’t have any smearing effects present. Also, I would suggest you to take a test to see if you have astigmatism or not. That also can affect your vision and red-dot clarity.

If you don’t have astigmatism and see there is smearing in the reticle, then just drop it in for warranty.

Brightness Setting

Some optics tend to have shake to wake and some of them have auto brightness. A lot of new red dots tend to have quite low brightness levels and no night-vision settings at all. If you are shooting under bright circumstances too much, having an adjustable brightness reticle will come in handy.

Budget

If you know how much you are willing to spend to get the features you are looking for, then you can easily figure out the right one for you. It’s always a good idea to have a mental constraint on your spending adventures.

1. Trijicon SRO Sight Adjustable Sight

We cannot mention RMR footprint optics without mentioning something from the OG, right? Well, everyone knows Trijicon makes extremely great red dot optics. The SRO may look a bit odd to some, but it’s one of the best red dots for Canik SFX Rival!

The sight is made out of high-quality aluminum. The aluminum chassis has excellent housing. It’s rustproof and fogproof. While Trijicon does rate their sight to be submersible, I wouldn’t really suggest diving with the sight!

As for the lens, it’s quite wide and has a large field of view. Thanks to that, the performance of this sight is excellent. On top of that, the faster target acquisition makes it a wonderful competitive optic as well. Overall, it’s one of the best optics for Canik SFX rival!

Pros

  • Made in USA.
  • Extremely well built.
  • Wide field of view.
  • Extremely lightweight.
  • Has the same footprint as RMR.
  • Top loading battery and waterproof.
  • Multiple reticles to choose from.

Cons

  • The big size can be bothersome to many shooters.

2. HOLOSUN HS507C X2 Reflex Pistol Sight

Buckle up, you might get bombarded with Holosun options today! Then again, I don’t necessarily see anything wrong with this. After all, Holosun is one of the leading manufacturers in the red dot industry!

Their 507C is a supposedly upgrade over the 407C. The design was changed a bit and it has a larger FOV as well. The sight also features an iconic solar failsafe on the top and allows you to choose from the red or green reticles. The lens is fully multi-coated and prepared to last in a war-like condition!

As for the housing, it’s not cheaply made either! While it’s not made out of titanium, it’s still made out of 7075 T6 aluminum. This caliber of aluminum is rated to be one of the most durable variants. It is also rustproof and shockproof. On top of that, the entire housing is sealed to be waterproof. As long as you don’t lose the battery panel, no water or moisture is getting inside the optic!

Speaking of battery, it’s rated to have 50k hours of battery life with one lithium battery. You will find one included in the box and get a dozen of them for a pocket change in Walmart if you wish to! But you probably won’t need them anytime soon. The Solar is there to save you from misery!

Pros

  • Excellent build quality.
  • The lens is crystal clear and works at night as well.
  • Adjustable brightness setting.
  • You can adjust the windage and elevation.
  • Solar failsafe.
  • Multiple reticles to choose from.
  • Lightweight and compact.

Cons

  • Practically a flawless optic with no visible cons present on the optic. Sure, you can call it a tad bit expensive. But that is to expected!

3. HOLOSUN HS407C X2 Reflex Sight

As you know already, Canik supports the RMR footprint, thus, supporting all of Holosun’s small and larger-sized handgun sights. The 407C is an excellent sight from Holosun with both green and red LED reticles.

The brightness of this sight is adjustable. As the lens is coated with oil-resistant and anti-glare, you can use this sight in any weather without feeling any choppiness. The image clarity is excellent throughout the day.

As for the chassis, it’s made out of 7075 aluminum. It’s one of the most durable materials for optics. The entire housing is fog, shock, and waterproof. It is also rated to be submersible.

While I don’t recommend you take a deep sea dive with your optic, you practically can do that if you wish to!

To top it all, the sight also features Holosun’s signature solar failsafe module. Even if your battery dies during the session, your optic will still provide you with a bright reticle!

Pros

  • Excellent build quality.
  • Available in multiple reticles.
  • Adjustable brightness.
  • Adjustable windage and elevation.
  • Shake to wake.
  • Rated to have 50k hours of battery life.
  • Solar failsafe.

Cons

  • Not ideal for night vision tasks

4. Swampfox Justice – Micro Reflex Red Dot Sight

Swampfox is another popular option when it comes to handgun red dots. They have multiple sights that follow the RMR footprint. If you are looking for a sight from them, my top recommendation would be Justice!

Swampfox Justice is a 1x27mm sight with a huge FOV for a red dot! The chassis material of this is aluminum. It’s lightweight and extremely compact as well. Thanks to the RMR footprint compatibility, you can install it in a lot of guns including Canik SFX Rival.

The lens on this is fully multi-coated. Thanks to that, you get a clear vision of what’s in front of you. While the lens is not scratch-proof, it’s quite resistant against dust and sharp scratches. Rest assured, this sight will help you win competition for a long time to come.

Pros

  • Affordable.
  • Fits the RMR plate.
  • A huge field of view.
  • Fast target acquisition.
  • Available in green or red dot.
  • Built for holsters.

Cons

  • The battery life could have been better.

5. Swampfox Liberty – Micro Reflex Red Dot Sight

When you mention Justice, you cannot ignore Liberty. They are like two siblings that always keep fighting for attention! Liberty would be the younger child in this scenario. Instead of a 1x27mm objective lens, Liberty has a 1x22mm objective lens.

The field of view is not as wide as Justice but Liberty also has a good amount of field of view. And just like Justice, Liberty also has green and red dot reticles to choose from. It is also cheaper compared to Justice.

In short, if you want a larger field of view, then you need to go for Justice, but if you are okay with a smaller objective lens and want a relatively cheaper optic, then you can go for Liberty. Otherwise, they both have identical chassis and the same durability.

Pros

  • Excellent build quality.
  • Durable lens coating.
  • Adjustable brightness.
  • Adjustable windage and elevation.
  • Usable during low light.
  • Available in green and red color reticle.

Cons

  • The battery life could have been slightly better.

Conclusion

As there are too many red dot options on the market, it’s quite hard to just figure out and get one between them. That’s why, finding the best optic for Canik Rival is a much more tedious task than you think.

The Canik SFX Rival is an excellent gun for everyday carry. The compact nature and the RMR cut support makes it an easy purchase for anyone on a budget. As there is no end to RMR footprint-supported optics, that’s why, I tried my best to help you as much as I possibly could.

Hope you had fun and learned something new while reading it. That’s all for now. I will see you on the next one. Till then, take care and have fun.
